This week’s article is about 10 ways to get motivated, but what is exactly motivation?
When we “should” do something but can’t or don’t want to do at the moment, we say we lack motivation.
“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going” – Jim Ryun
Motivation is the fire that makes you want to start doing something, especially cause you’re focusing on the outcome.
So, let’s start
Stay focused on your goal
You need the motivation to do what’s going to bring you towards your goals, right? So make sure to review your goals and track your progress because it’s super motivating seeing how much you’ve done!
Raise your vibration
Surround yourself with positive people
Positiveness is the best cure to depression and procrastination (because, in case you didn’t know, they are very connected).
Choose your friends wisely, make sure they’re living the life you want for yourself, and they will become your best motivation!
Listen to podcasts
Podcasts are my fav thing!
I can listen to great content while cleaning up my house or while I’m driving.
Check your goals daily
It’s so easy to get lost in the everyday routine and forget about our goals.
A great way to keep up is to have a vision board where you can easily look at (like PC or phone desktop).
Whatever is your task, or goal, start small.
Create baby tasks that might take you 5 to 10 minutes to complete, that’s doable, right?
Set a timer
Every time I write a new blogpost I set a timer of 30mins. After the 30 minutes are gone I have a break and then set another 30min timer until I’m done with writing.
This is a simple but great tip to not overwhelm yourself, it’s also called “The Pomodoro Technique” and there are many apps available for this use.
Whatever you do, even if you have accomplished a tiny task, reward yourself.
This way your motivation builds up focusing on the rewards!
