The new year is approaching and we feel the urge again to work on our goals and be more productive. So, if you want to end 2020 as a goal slayer and the best version of yourself, keep reading!
BrainDump your goals
Before any type of planning, braindump is always the first thing to do.
Write down your goals, divide them into categories (personal, carreer, family, etc..) and be specific.
Remember, your goals need to have these 5 qualities:
(as you can see, your goals must be S.M.A.R.T.)
Break them down
To be able to achieve your goals and prevent burn out, you have to break down your goals into small tasks.
Goal: lose 10kg in 6 months.
Put it down like this it seems unattainable but if you break it down…
Goal: lose 1,5 kg per month
Doesn’t it seem easier to achieve?
Choose your WHY
Be clear on the “why” behind each of your goals. Motivation is what keeps us focused and if we are focused and driven we can achieve anything!
“If we set our minds, we can achieve anything” – Gabby Douglas
Track your progress
Stay on top of your goals by tracking them, weekly, monthly or however you prefer.
Tracking your progress can boost your motivation and make you achieve your goals even faster!
The goal itself, once you’ve achieved it, can be a reward but I think you deserve to set another reward and, above all, celebrate.
Celebrate each small win, because you did something you thought was impossible and, by doing so, you’re shaping your life to be the on of your dreams and, last but not least, you’re becoming the best version of you.
