A new year, a new decade has begun.
We’re full of expectations, goals and resolutions but before doing comes planning and even earlier comes organising.
In this article, I’m going to list 20 ways you can do to organise your life before focusing on your goals.
Before we get into this, make sure you check out my previous article, how to prepare for the new year to have more clarity and intention.
Declutter your desk
This is a great way to boost your productivity.
Organise your planners and notebooks, dust the desk and minimize the amount of stuff lying on it.
Update your calendar
Update your Google Calendar and time block all your events and activities.
Your phone is full of unused apps, blurry photos and other useless stuff?
It’s time to declutter and make your phone “breathe” again.
ps: unfollow accounts that aren’t inspirational o positive.
Do a Life Admin Day
Look for the How and the Why here.
Brain Dump, brain dump, brain dump
Don’t keep your thoughts and ideas in your head, you will forget them.
Keep your notes’ app visible on your phone and use it to write everything down and make your ideas into goals and then into to-do’s!
Make an amazon wishlist
An easy way to keep track of the things you might want to buy in the future and also if it’s your birthday, you might link this to your friends so the presents won’t be disappointing.
Keep your make up organised
Clear out expired makeup and consider donating new unused ones.
Get a Password manager
Everyone right now has at least 5 to 10 accounts (emails, social media, websites, shops etc…) that means we have a TON of passwords and it’s impossible to remember them all.
So invest (time and/or money) in getting a password manager, I, personally, use my Evernote.
Organize your email
Clear out your email, organize them into categories and unsubscribe from mailing lists that don’t interest you anymore.
Reduce the time wasted on “what should I cook?” and make weekly or monthly meal plans to make your life easier.
Keep your purse organised
U can use small pouches to keep everything tidy and easy to reach.
Clean your car
This is one thing we always procrastinate about.
Grab your vacuum cleaner or go to a car wash and make it look like new, again.
Make new habits

Start a planner/bullet journal
Keep your entire life organised with a pen and paper.
Plan tomorrow’s outfit
I highly recommend doing this to make it easier to get ready in the morning.
Buy a Google Home
Use its features to make a morning routine in which it tells you all the events and to do’s for the day (plus the weather). It’s like your little personal assistant.
Make your bed every morning
An easy task to start the day with a clear mind and have a more productive day.
Back up your photos
Use the app Google Photos to save all your photos and then free up space on your phone by deleting all those pics.
Carry a notepad and a pen
In case you might need to write down an idea or an appointment or a phone number, choose a small one that can fit your purse.
Plan your chores
Organise your chores and plan that time on your calendar.
For eg. vacuum every day, clean the bathroom on m/w/f, dust the desk every thursday etc…
