last week I gave you some tips on how to stop procrastinating and, to keep up with this theme, today I’m going to introduce you to
What is it?
A day filled with getting small, nagging tasks that you’ve probably been procrastinating, done.
There are some tasks we try to push back and ignore ‘cause we really don’t feel like doing but sooner or later, alias on an Admin Day, it’s time to get sh*t done!
Where to start?
Schedule your LAD: I prefer to do it on Sunday, to start the week with the right foot.
You can have your LAD every week, every two weeks or once a month, it’s up to you!
Okay, today is the day! What’s the first thing to do?
Braindump
Have you ignored some tasks for like, a few weeks or months?
It’s time to get them done so write them all down (for eg. hairdresser appointment, doctor appointment, clean your car, format your pc etc…) and during this day, your goal is to tick them off (if you miss a few tasks, still celebrate the ones you completed!).
Here’s my to-do list for my next LAD on Amazing Marvin, as you can see I put the most important tasks on top because they will be the first ones I’m going to focus on.
That’s it, really?
Yep, it’s that simple: choose a day, make a list and get stuff done, no procrastination allowed on this day 🙂
ps: choose a reward for yourself after you’ve completed the tasks, you deserve it!
