Amethyst is a beautiful stone easily recognizable for the pretty shades of purple.
This stone is one of my favourites and I keep one little amethyst with each of my tarot decks to protect them from negative energies.
Chakra
The first thing to know about every stone is “What chakra does it work with?” and, as its colour might suggest, it works with the 6th chakra, the Crown Chakra (or third eye)
This means that the Amethyst is the stone of Spirituality.
It’s perfect for meditation and to open the third eye, I use it for clairvoyance also when I’m working with my tarots or my pendulum (made of amethyst, of course!)
Its Powers
Amethyst releases all the blocks in the 6th chakra, bringing wisdom, clarity and intuition
You need an Amethyst if you:
- suffer from insomnia
- can’t focus (I advise you to keep it on your desk while studying!)
- are indecisive because of emotions
- get sick very often (it strengthen the immune system)
- aren’t successful at meditation
- are not confident
How to use
The first thing to do when you buy a stone is cleansing it, removing all the existent bad energy so that you can program it for your purposes.
Now that your amethyst is ready to help you, how can you “use” it?
You can keep it in your pocket, your purse when you’re at work or running errands.
You can wear it as a piece of jewellery. FYI I prefer wearing it as a necklace, keeping it close to my heart!
You can keep a big druse on your bedside table to soak up the stone’s energy while you sleep, especially when you’re with your lover!
